Latvian Higher Education Center Starts Work in India (1)
Latvian Higher Education Center starts work in India, Chennai city. Higher Education Center has been established by seven Latvian universities: Riga Technical University, University of Latvia, Turiba University, Liepaja University, BA School of Business and Finance, Latvia University of Agriculture and Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration and the main task of the Center is to provide information on study and research opportunities in Latvia for youth and academic staff throughout the Southern region.
The Center has been established with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia and Association of Higher Education Export. The opening ceremony was visited by the representatives of the leading Indian universities and delegation of Latvian universities. Latvia is the fifth country of European Union and European Economic Area which opens its education center in India.
In the opening ceremony Turiba University was represented by Imants Bergs, the pro-rector of studies development and international cooperation (the fourth from the right side).
