Say “Labas” (0)
Today, we would like to say to you “Labas”. Labas means “Hello” from Lithuanian language. Why Labas? Why Lithuanian greeting? Because, I would like share with you a wonderful study trip to Lithuania of Strategic Tourism Management faculty of Turiba University from March 15,2018 to March 17, 2018. This study trip was organized by Turiba University in cooperation with Faculty of Business Management of Vilniaus Kolegia and supported by La Fondation Pour La Formation Hôtelière
On the trip masters’ degree students had aim to learn, analyze, compare Baltic countries in terms of tourism sphere how those countries attempt to meet requirements of international tourism standards, what they are doing to progress further. Apart from this regular ordinary tourism activities, the students were to investigate every actions of MICE tourism industry.
Lithuania and locals hosted guests from neighbor country saying and expressing Labas. This welcoming and hospitality brightened mood of the students further. Additionally, thanks to organized meetings with a representative of Lithuanian Ministry of Economics on the topic of tourism development in Lithuania, while responsible member of Go Vilnius dedicated to promotion of Vilnius as a MICE destination to share some quick facts about development in Vilnius with us. So as to encourage the knowledge of the students, the next stop was in Expo center called Litexpo which is the biggest convention hall for MICE in Lithuania. During this study, attendees of Turiba University were given some useful information about the place in detailed and answered for the questions arisen.
The day of leaving for Latvia, the students could evaluate offer for tourists in Old town of Vilnius and service of experienced Lithuanian guide.
This study trip was concluded in the entertaining spirit while achieving success in what was planned in front.
