This summer from 12th until 23rd of August University of Turku, Turku School of Economics, Pori unit will host NORDPLUS Intensive Course „Sustainable Tourism”. Turiba University students are welcome to apply!
The study course covers the international currents of sustainable tourism discussed from the perspectives of regional economy and business development. Particular attention will be paid to identifying the interlinkages of profitability of tourism vs. climate change; the corporate environmental responsibility vs. business options; regional economic impacts of tourism vs. environmental protection; service design focusing on digital services vs. sustainable brand equity.
In this Course participants will be bachelor and master level students from Latvia, Lithuania and Finland. Lessons and practical seminars will be led by professors from 3 partner Universities as well as invited professionals.
Language of the Course – English, participation in the Course – free of change. Organizers will cover travel, living and study costs during the course.
Applications are accepted only from full time bachelor and master level students of Turiba University. Students will receive 3 ECTS for the participation in the Course.

Costs: Teaching is free of charge, and organisers will cover travel to Pori, accommodation in Pori in twin rooms, catering, several study visits and excursions to touristic destinations of the Satakunta region.
