Celebrating its 25th anniversary Turiba University invites everyone to the guest lecture of the former President of the Republic of Estonia, diplomat Toomas Hendrik Ilves, which will be held on 5th July at 18:00 at Turiba University (Graudu street 68). 

Toomas Hendrik Ilves is a former journalist and diplomat, who in the 1990s served as a leader of the Estonian Social Democratic Party, later as a Deputy of the European Parliament.  From 2006 to 2016 he was the President of the Republic of Estonia. After the expiry of the term of power of attorney of President, he operates as co-chairman in the working group of the forum of Global economic - Global Futures Council on Blockchain Technology.  In 2017 he joined to Stanford University as a guest lecturer at the international center for security and cooperation at the International institute for research. From 2017 Toomas Hendrik Ilves is a guest professor at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University.

Turiba University has spent 25 years of work, that is why in the guest lecture will be spoken about what trends in the world will mark in next 25 years - in business, technology, community development, education, etc. areas.  In the lecture also will be topics about global foreign and security policy and its development trends as well as cyber security. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions to the former President of Estonia. 

Guest lecture will be held in English and it is free of charge. Everyone interested is welcome.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the European Parliament and the Council regulation No. 2016/679 About protection of individual regarding to personal data processing and free movement of such data and repealing the Directive 95/46/EK (General data protection regulation) 6th article 1st point a) the data subject has given his consent to the processing of his personal data for one or more specific purposes.

The obtained personal data can be given whole or partly to the registration web site

By registering for the events of the University, the personal data indicated in the application will be stored in the site database. Within 30 (thirty) days the data indicated in the registration form will be deleted from the database of the website. The personal data contained in the registration form of the event will be stored at the University for 30 (thirty) days after the guest lecture, or, if the person has applied  for notifications of further events, for receiving the refusal. 

The data subject has the right to request the University  access to his / her personal data, to request correct or delete  inaccurate personal data, by submitting the reasons for the request,  in the cases provided  by law can request restriction of the processing of personal data, and object to processing it, file a complaint regarding the processing of unlawful personal data in the supervisory authority- Data state inspection.
