AESTHETIC COSMETOLOGY
College or short-cycle studies last 3 years. The study courses are thoughtfully divided into study years, ensuring a smooth and engaging study process, as well as allowing the acquired knowledge to be consolidated in practice.
DURING THE STUDY PROCESS YOU WILL LEARN:
- Professional study courses: cosmetology, body and face massages, body cosmetic procedures, facial cosmetic procedures, mesotherapy and biorevitalization, electroprocedures, decorative cosmetics, holistic approach and procedures, hand and foot care, SPA massages, aromatherapy, basics of micropigmentation and tattooing, cosmetic chemistry , basics of cosmetics mixing, electroprocedures, salon management
- Field medical study courses: anatomy, physiology, physiotherapy, dermatology, health education and hygiene, therapy, microbiology and infectious diseases, nutrition education, fundamentals of genetics, pharmacology, emergency medical care, innovations in health care
- General education study courses: business basics, professional English and Latin, communication psychology, digital competence in the profession, pedagogy and research, sales and presentation, labor law, civil and environmental protection, budget planning and taxes, marketing basics, personnel management, professional activity basics, project management, etc.
TASKS OF THE PROGRAM:
- To prepare students according to the requirements of the State Standard of Professional Higher Education and the Professional Standard "Beauty Care Specialist (Cosmetology)".
- Provide the opportunity to acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge, professional skills and practical skills to be able to work fully in beauty care companies, health care institutions or commercial structures as an employer or employee, or work as self-employed persons or as individual traders.
- Provide the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills with modern cosmetology technologies and methods, applying cosmetic products to solve face and/or body beauty care problems.
- To observe professional work ethics, work and technical safety standards, general hygiene requirements and other legal acts of professional activity.
- Provide students with the opportunity to continue in first-cycle professional higher education programs to obtain the sixth-level professional qualification.
RESULTS ACHIEVED:
- The understanding of global trends in the field of beauty care and health care
- The understanding of hygiene and safety rules of this profession and professional ethics
- Will be able to apply communication strategies in various communication situations
- The understanding of human anatomy and physiological processes, and is able to see the relationship between health and beauty
- Will be able to take a medical history and diagnose aesthetic problems and make recommendations to the client
- Will be able to independently apply appropriate technologies, methods, cosmetic products to solve facial and/or body beauty problems
- Will be able to conduct responsible business
- Will be able to implement the latest, evidence-based research in the field of health care in their work
Graduates of the "Aesthetic Cosmetology" study program have the opportunity to continue education in business and health care study programs;
CERTIFICATE - by passing the additional international INFA exam, the student will receive an INFA Beauty Passport. If the success rate of the INFA exams is excellent and exceeds 85%, the student will be awarded the Gold Master certificate. More info - www.infa.org.
The short-cycle higher education study program "Aesthetic Cosmetology" is accredited until December 14, 2028.

Admission requirements
In order to start studies in a college study program, the applicant must have completed secondary education and provide one of the English language certificates mentioned within the Admission information. If the applicant does not have any of the respective English language certificates, however the medium of instruction of his/her secondary education was English, he/she will receive a link to Turība University on-line English test after the registration.
