Turība highly values practical knowledge, which is why the lecturers are industry practitioners who can provide students with the latest insights in their field and offer practical advice. Educational field trips to companies are organized, and the study content is enriched with various seminars. The lecturers also strive to make their courses diverse and include everything useful to help students understand the industry and provide insights into real business-related situations.

Every year, in the second semester, students must complete an internship, which can be done in companies in Latvia or abroad. The university's Career Center will assist students in finding an internship, or students can find it on their own.

Unlike other universities, at Turība, 60% of the study process is practical work in a real work environment, while 40% consists of theoretical learning with our experienced lecturers, who have successfully built careers in their profession, by offering advice to students.

Employers, by evaluating students' knowledge and skills during the internship, may offer students a permanent position in the company after the internship, thus giving students the opportunity to work in their chosen profession during their studies and immediately apply the knowledge acquired in their courses. According to survey results, almost 80% of Turība students are already working during their studies.

The relevance of the knowledge and skills gained during studies to the labor market is also confirmed by the data from the Higher education graduate monitoring for 2017–2020 created by the Ministry of Education and Science, which shows that graduates from private higher education institutions earn higher salaries than those from public universities.

Moreover, by completing an internship abroad, students are given the opportunity to meet new people from other countries, build new contacts, and later use these connections both personally and professionally. An internship abroad opens up a whole new world for students, allowing them to meet people with different ways of thinking and expand their horizon.
