Conference "SECURING TOMORROW: Preparing security specialists for future challenges"
Turiba University invites you to participate in the conference " SECURING TOMORROW: Preparing security specialists for future challenges", which will be held on November 7, 2024. The conference will address the future challenges in the field of security - how to effectively train security specialists and prepare for future security risks.
The event will feature a panel discussion titled " Does the security and defense industry have enough regeneration and how to promote it?” Experts will discuss whether enough new specialists are being trained in Latvia to meet the demands of the security and defense sector, and what measures are needed to attract more young people to the field. The discussion will also cover whether these new specialists are sufficiently skilled and knowledgeable, as well as the future skills that security professionals will need.
Security professionals, lecturers, students, and anyone interested are invited to join the conference. Participation is free of charge, and the working languages will be Latvian and English, with simultaneous translation provided.
The event will be held at Turiba University, located at Graudu Street 68, Riga. The conference will be livestreamed on Turiba Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Biznesa.augstskola.Turiba
For the on-site participation please register until 1.11.2024: https://forms.gle/GLe2XaHqjCqB4YhG9
The conference is organized with the support of the ERASMUS+ SECUREU project, involving seven partners from Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, and Spain, who have developed educational materials in the field of security risk management. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about these resources and gain insights from the experience of partner universities in training security professionals across different European countries.
