At Turība University, practical skills are highly emphasized in the study process, as employers value them greatly. Turība is ranked among the top three universities recommended by employers.

Practical knowledge is highly valued at Turība, which is why lecturers are industry professionals who can provide students with the most up-to-date knowledge in their field and offer practical insights. Study trips to companies are organized, and the curriculum includes various seminars. Additionally, lecturers strive to make their courses diverse, incorporating all the useful knowledge needed to understand the industry and gain insight into real-world situations.

Each year, during the second semester, students must undertake an internship, either in companies in Latvia or abroad. The university’s Career Center assists students in finding an internship placement, but they can also find one independently.

Unlike other universities, 60% of the study process at Turība consists of practical training in a real work environment, while 40% is theoretical learning with experienced lecturers who have successfully built careers in their professions and provide students with valuable advice.

Employers assess students' knowledge and skills during the internship, and upon completion, they may offer students a permanent position at the company. This allows students to start working in their chosen profession while still studying and apply their acquired knowledge in practice. According to survey results, nearly 80% of Turība students work during their studies. The university’s flexible study formats make it easy to combine work and education.
