Israeli Ambassador to Latvia Sandra Simović visited Turība University
In order to discuss opportunities for cooperation in the field of education and research, Israeli Ambassador to Latvia Sandra Simović visited Turība University on 9th of April.
The Ambassador was met by Imants Bergs, Chairman of the Board of the University, Evija Kļave, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, and Ēriks Lingebērziņš, Dean of the Faculty of International Tourism.
During the meeting, the areas of study of Turība as a business school, cooperation with universities in Israel, attracting potential partners and guest lecturers in the fields of business, health, security, innovation, communication and tourism were discussed.
One of the cooperation formats could be the field of innovation, where together with students we could solve various current problem situations, creating new business ideas and solutions. They also discussed ways to promote cooperation with higher education fairs in both countries in order to implement various cooperation projects within the framework of the ERASMUS+ international exchange programme.
The role of research in higher education and the ways in which universities can contribute to the development of the business environment in different sectors through their research were also discussed.
