International projects
Turiba University is actively expanding its international cooperation, initiating, developing, and implementing various local, national, and international projects.
We believe that the development of the University is inconceivable without innovative initiatives, the creation of new teaching approaches and methods, and without international collaboration. To prepare high-quality new professionals, it is essential for our university to provide opportunities for learning in an international environment, meeting lecturers, and professionals from around the world. Therefore, we realize international projects in collaboration with universities and partners worldwide.
Through these projects, we have developed new and innovative educational resources and tools, published books, organized international conferences, exchange trips, study visits, summer schools, and other activities.
We have extensive experience in international project management and have been actively involved in coordinating projects such as Central Baltic Interreg, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program, European Social fund, JUSTICE, NORDPLUS, and ERASMUS+ projects.

Development project of NORDPLUS higher education program “Development of Society and Organisation Security Programmes 2017”
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Nowadays world security is the highest priority of any country, including Baltic and Nordic countries. At the moment world is coping such serious security related issues as migration, cyber-security, economic security and security in organisations and companies. Those are new challenges also for Baltic and Scandinavian countries. This influence security of the society as well as security of individual organisations. That why there is a strong need for specialist and well trained professionals who can ensure security of society and individual.
In September 2017 Turiba University in cooperation with Kazimieras Simonavičius University (Lithuania) and Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland) started the NORDPLUS Higher education program project „Development of Society and Organisation Security Programmes 2017”.
With this project partners initiated stronger cooperation and exchange among security specialists and lecturers of all partner Universities, reviewed teaching methods and shared best practices.
During the project partners meet in experience exchange seminars in Latvia and Finland, developed and publish the book on Security issues and organized dissemination Conference in Riga, spring 2018.

Main result of the project is Book “Organisation and Individual Security” developed by experts of the partner Universities.
This book explores different aspects of security and can be used as useful teaching material for Security program students’. Book contains compilation of articles about Theory of Security, Training on security, Physical and Personnel Security as well as Cyber-security aspects.
