International projects
Turiba University is actively expanding its international cooperation, initiating, developing, and implementing various local, national, and international projects.
We believe that the development of the University is inconceivable without innovative initiatives, the creation of new teaching approaches and methods, and without international collaboration. To prepare high-quality new professionals, it is essential for our university to provide opportunities for learning in an international environment, meeting lecturers, and professionals from around the world. Therefore, we realize international projects in collaboration with universities and partners worldwide.
Through these projects, we have developed new and innovative educational resources and tools, published books, organized international conferences, exchange trips, study visits, summer schools, and other activities.
We have extensive experience in international project management and have been actively involved in coordinating projects such as Central Baltic Interreg, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program, European Social fund, JUSTICE, NORDPLUS, and ERASMUS+ projects.

NORDPLUS Higher education Intensive Course “Green Logistics” 2019
Dates of the Course: 16.-27.07.2019
In summer 2019 Turiba University hosted NORDPLUS Intensive Course „Green Logistics” 2019.
This Course was implemented by Turiba University (Latvia) in a cooperation with Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), University of Southern Denmark (Denmark) and Turku School of Economics (Finland).
Dates of the Course: 16.-27.07.2019.
Nowadays sustainable development, sustainable resource management and minimizing ecological impact are ones of the main priorities of any country and is applicable in any field.
This course fored students’ understanding of the role of logistics process in a business enterprise (material value flows and connected information flows in particular micro-economic or macroeconomic systems), functionality and principles of logistic chains in international business structures and countries.
Also the course enhanced a deeper understanding about the sustainable development, sustainable resource management issues and trained the skills to analyse, plan and implement green logistics principles in the enterprise.
Students participated in lectures, workshops, had several study visits to successful companies applying the Green Logistics principles. The students had discussions with professionals, met representatives from the Latvian Logistics association and worked in groups on a practical Case.
In this Course participants were bachelor and master level students from Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark and Finland. Lessons and practical seminars were led by professors from 4 partner Universities as well as invited professionals.
Language of the Course – English. Students received 6 ECTS for the participation in the Course.
