International projects
Turiba University is actively expanding its international cooperation, initiating, developing, and implementing various local, national, and international projects.
We believe that the development of the University is inconceivable without innovative initiatives, the creation of new teaching approaches and methods, and without international collaboration. To prepare high-quality new professionals, it is essential for our university to provide opportunities for learning in an international environment, meeting lecturers, and professionals from around the world. Therefore, we realize international projects in collaboration with universities and partners worldwide.
Through these projects, we have developed new and innovative educational resources and tools, published books, organized international conferences, exchange trips, study visits, summer schools, and other activities.
We have extensive experience in international project management and have been actively involved in coordinating projects such as Central Baltic Interreg, Erasmus Mundus, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program, European Social fund, JUSTICE, NORDPLUS, and ERASMUS+ projects.

Nordplus Intensive Course „Social Tourism – today and tomorrow”
Nordplus Intensive Course „Social Tourism – today and tomorrow”
Turiba University in cooperation with partner Universities from Lithuania and Finland is implementing Nordplus Higher education Intensive Course „Social Tourism – today and tomorrow”. Intensive Course will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania from 27.03.2017. until 31.03.2017.
Course is initiated and implemented by International School of Law and Business in Vilnius, Lithuania. Turiba University and Tampere University of Applied sciences are partners of the project.
In frame of the project 20 students, from which 5 students from Turiba, will have possibility to learn about Social Tourism and related issues. During 5 days of the Intensive Course students will participate in lessons, group works, study visits and meetings with professionals.
It is a particularly strong focus on social responsibility and social entrepreneurship in Europe and social tourism is an integral part of it. The European Union and the Lithuanian law pays much attention to the social Tourism, however there are still many places to grow and develop. Social tourism concept is still not widely known and developed, and it is not included as a subject in Tourism study programmes at higher education institutions. Intensive course is aimed at deepening knowledge of students and widening expertise of academic staff of Nordic and Baltic region in social tourism issues. The main aims are: to identify the concept of social tourism; review the situation of social tourism in regional level and in the world perspective; study tolerance aspects of tourism and discrimination and integration challenges; get acquainted to the most popular routes with access for disabled in Nordic and Baltic region (nature, museums, events, seasonality).
Students will receive 3 ECTS for this course.
