NORDPLUS Intensive course "Sustainable mindset in Entrepreneurship" 2024
Sustainable development and sustainable thinking are especially relevant in the context of the European Green Deal, which aims to make the European Union climate-neutral by 2050. The green transformation of the economy is possible if we change our thinking and increase public involvement in implementing sustainable solutions. This is why Turiba University, in cooperation with Lapland University of Applied Sciences, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences from Finland, and Lithuanian Business College, implemented the NORDPLUS Intensive Course on Sustainable Thinking in Business, which took place in August 2024.
From August 12-23, Turiba University hosted 26 students from Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland, who spent two weeks learning new skills in building and developing sustainable businesses. This course provided the partners with the opportunity to train students intensively, offering in-depth knowledge.
The course provided insight into topics such as business canvas, business idea generation, design thinking, sustainable business models, collaboration and leadership.
As part of the intensive course, students participated in lectures, practical classes, discussed with industry professionals and specialists and went on study visits. Lecturers from all 3 countries participated in the course. This course provided an excellent opportunity to study and work in an international environment for both students and teachers from Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
Course dates: 12.-23.08.2024.
