We believe that the development of the University is inconceivable without innovative initiatives, the creation of new teaching approaches and methods, and without international collaboration. To prepare high-quality new professionals, it is essential for our university to provide opportunities for learning in an international environment, meeting lecturers, and professionals from around the world. Therefore, we realize international projects in collaboration with universities and partners worldwide.

Summer school "Digital and sustainable business"
The State Education Development Agency (VIAA) annually grants scholarships to several Latvian higher education institutions so that they can organize and admit foreign students to summer schools organized by the higher education institutions. Such summer schools are a great opportunity for students to both get to know Latvia and learn new knowledge and skills.
Summer school “Digital and Sustainable Business” took place from August 12 to 21, 2024, and 12 students from different countries of the world came to Turiba University to participate in this summer school. This year, students learned and improved their knowledge about digital and sustainable business. For 10 days students participated in lectures, practical classes, seminars and study visits to various Latvian companies in order to get to know the Latvian business environment and also to generate and create sustainable business ideas themselves.
This summer school gathered 12 outstanding students from 8 countries. This year, students from Ukraine, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Brazil, Uzbekistan, Japan and Georgia were visiting us at the summer school. To participate in the summer school, students were selected in high competition, as 188 applications were received.
"Summer schools are a great opportunity for both students and university lecturers to exchange experience and internationalize. Students get to know our country, learn new knowledge and gain experience working in an international team. We are glad that this year we received so many applications and that so many excellent students showed interest in our country and the university's summer school", says Jana Bunkus, head of the communication direction of Turiba University.
Summer school dates: 12.-21.08.2024.

Student feedback on the Intensive Course:
“This summer school was wonderful! We were not a very big group, which allowed us to get to know each other and become friends. We had a lot of different classes and activities, so we made a really good team. We also worked with professionals, listened to their lectures and enjoyed their work".
“This summer school is really useful for those who are going to start their own business. The lectures were interesting and valuable. We learned how to be sustainable and environmentally friendly, how to manage our ideas and come up with something new".
